Can crystal vase’s be repaired?
I have a Master Cutter Waterford vase. It is about 2′ tall. The top rim/lip was broke off by a guest. Can I just have that lip cut off and save the rest of the vase? Retail this vase was about 5500+ Its about 12 years old.

Philips & Swarovski Crystals USB drives
Last year’s launch of the Active Crystal drives from Philips & Swarovski must be some success. The ladies must really dig the crystal-clad flash drives in heart & purse shape, and now they want more. The 2008 collection collection of thumb drives ranging from sparkling robots to glamorous moon might be just what they like.
Finally, more robot USB drives are hitting the market. Now we are getting more then we can handle. Some are even downright shiny like this one. Philips’ Active Crystal collection has been around for awhile. This time around it’s got Swarovski crystals in the 2008 range. The 2GB Robot Naughty Raymond, in black, is already available, and to give him some companionship, here comes the USB Happy Laura.
It’s set in white with sparkling crystals for the body and features for the face. The cute girlly bot even has ruby lips! Happy Laura has a 2GB capacity and will be available in Europe for $238. This is probably more glitz and glamor then you really want on a USB drive, but if you happen to be a rich robot loving gal, I guess it’s perfect.
The Moon USB Memory Keys have a polished stainless steel body with either a fully faceted Chrome or clear crystal. Unlike the robots, they come with a retractable USB connector that can be released by pressing the crystal chaton on top. All four are now in 2GB, a rather disappointing upgrade taken account into their pricing. The Moons currently retail for €190 each while the Robots cost €40 less. Lip Piercing/Stud?
its my birthday in a few days and i am trying to convince my parents to let me get my lip pierced. i dont want a giant ring or anything…just a small crystal stud on the right side of my lip. it would be a great help if anyone onn here has any pictures of what im talking about because i can only find pics of the rings not studs. also can you give me the pros and cons of getting this done? thanks =]
1. Piercing your lip with a stud creates a straight fistula – which is the epithelia around the interior of the piercing when it heals. The pro’s of having a stud are that you can apply lipstick, chapstick, or other lip balms without getting it on your ring, which can spin and irritate your healing piercing. I also think studs look more “feminine” and in a lot of cases, little diamond studs look adorable instead of “disgusting” like a lot of people make piercings out to be. The downside to piercing your lip with a stud is that if you ever want to change it to a ring, it can very uncomfortable for the first few days while your lip gets used to a curved piece of jewelry in a straight hole 
.
2. Piercing your lip with a ring, in my eyes, looks more “manly”. It gets in the way of applying chapstick and sometimes, kissing. When you put chapstick or lipstick on with a ring in, it ends up getting on the ring and when the ring is spun, chapstick gets in the healing piercing, irritating it and sometimes prolonging the healing period. Also, if you later change your ring to a stud, the stud may appear “crooked” due to it being a straight post, in a curved hole! The upside to getting a ring in your lip though, is that it’s a lot easier to clean the “crusties” off while it’s healing!
I’m a professional piercer and for most girls, I recommend getting studs, because they’re a lot gentler on many girls faces and make the piercing look very attractive.
