Should I change my face care products?
I’ve had problem skin ever since I remember, with extremely bad pimples and blackheads appearing non-stop. I’m now 18 and extremely sick of it. I’ve always used really strong pimple fighting products such as Environ, Proactiv, Dermalogica etc and still have bad breakouts nevertheless. What I’m wondering is, do you think it’s worth a go to try some “natural” and gentle skincare stuff like Burt’s Bees? I’m willing to give all the natural stuff a go, but I am really worried that it won’t stop my acne. What do you think?
The thing is, I know i won’t grow out of it, because my whole family has pretty bad acne including my mum and dad who are in their late 40′s. Their skin didn’t clear up with age, so why should mine?
it can’t hurt to try, but honestly i have a hard time believing it would work miracles that stronger scientifically-created chemicals couldn’t. do you have cystic acne? you might want to give accutane a try, but only if your case is fairly extreme because it has a number of drying side effects. you might also want to try a retinol treatment.. after a bad waxing experiment, i’d been left with a huge breakout that never seemed to go away, no matter how much clearasil i piled on. then i started using the roc retinol treatment (this was when i was about 18 too), and after a few weeks, my skin was completely back to normal. i seriously recommend retinol to EVERYONE. it resurfaces the skin, smooths out the texture, and just makes your skin look overall freaking amazing. it does make it more vulnerable to the sun, though, so you’ll want to compensate with a higher spf, but i only use it at night anyway.
also, for some people it can be slightly drying, so you can use a regular moisturizer over it if you need to.

so sick of acne! will this work…?
I’ve always had pretty clear skin but these past like 6 months my skin has never looked worse! 
i feel like the more i pay attention to it and treat it with harsh things like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide the worser it becomes! im thinking of just washing my face with something gentle like dermalogica’s special Cleansing Gel and moisturizing with neutrogena’s oil free moisturizer and completely skipping applying acne medication. Please any thoughts and/or comments and anything you’ve tried that has worked for you,, thanks a bunch!!

The more products you use the worse it can get. You should find one product that works and then use that. When you combine too many projects it irritates your skin and makes problems even worse. Since your using such harsh products on your face it dries you skin out completely, from personal experience i have seen that, that happens to causes more problems. When you are using the products that makes your skin go dry your face produces more oil which causes more acne. This is what you should do. I have been doing this for years now and I never get a pimples.
1) Find a Face Wash that works for your face and use it everyday twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night.
2) Find a moisturizer I recommend you use cetaphil its pretty inexpensive and you can find it at target. Put it on your face every night before going to sleep.
3) Find a cream that helps get rid of Acne and use it every night before going to sleep.
I use clinique the three step program and I can not live without. Its works amazingly. I love it a lot and it actually works the way it says it does. Its kind of expensive around 50 bucks for everything, but this is one product that works the way it says it does. The good thing is it does not irritate the skin at all. Its a three step program. It has a foam for washing your face, toner to clean your skin, and cream.
