How do you teach a six year old facials for a dance competition?
My 6 year old daughter has been dancing for two years now, but she just got her first solo this year. Her first competition is in two months and while her technique is amazing her facials are blah. She always smiles but i know that the judges also give higher points to a child who can display the music on her face. This could mean the difference between a gold and a platinum! Her song is broadway baby and its a character tap routine, any suggestions are well appreciated! Thanks!
Play the music around the house and ask her (I know this sounds weird) how the music makes her feel. Build off of that. That’s what I do for my daughter during skating competitions.
