What is a good freestanding prof. basketball hoop to get?
My husband, who used to play college ball, has been wanting a hoop for our driveway for some time. I want to get him one for his birthday but he is really picky and unfortunatley I haven’t been paying attention whenever he makes comments at Academy and other sports stores. I know he wants a good solid and professional sized backboard, a sturdy base, and a pole that is situated so he won’t hit himself on it when doing layups. I’d like to keep it under $250 if possible….I also know jack about basketball, as I’m a football gal, any opinions/suggestions would be great!
There are many available out there. One good choice would be this one: Lifetime Reebok 51587 44″ Fusion Backboard Portable Basketball Goal. I have owned one from more than 2 years now and still looks like new.

A question on how to relate frequency to circuit size?
My prof asked this question in class for HW and I cant find a relationship on the web. What is the frequency of a device inside a 1 cm square circuit that will not emit em radiation if wave length is a)1 micrometer? b) 1 centimeter?
How can I relate frequency to circuit size? All I know is that freq.*lamda=c and good antena is 25% of the wavelength.
Just take the reciprocal of the wavelength which gives you frequency. (Lamda(wavelength)=C(speed of light)/frequency).
Obviously, a 1 cm wavelength is going to cause some problems in a 1 cm square circuit.
A good antenna is 50% of the wavelength. Even quarter wave antennas use ground to reflect the other quarter wave so they are really half waves.
