How You Can Get Rid Of Stretch Marks By Using The Dermaroller
Stretch Marks (Striae as they are technically referred to as) are formed when the skin expands rapidly during any period of increased growth. They form in the middle layer of skin and are the result of skin fibres tearing as they fail to grow at the same rate as the expanding body.
A lot of adults, in particular females, get stretch marks as a result of pregnancy. They can also be found on their breasts. They are not pleasant to look at and can cause self-esteem issues in some women. Some of them can’t stand to see the sight of stretch marks.
Stretch marks can come about by the failure of not producing enough collagen and elastin to produce a thicker texture in the skin. It’s also due to the reduced skin levels being able to stretch out more. Elastin in the skin helps its stay firm. Without the elastin, the skin will form as pockets and is void of the support it needs to allow it to stretch.
With pregnancy, stretch marks are very common on the skin. They are just part and parcel of becoming pregnant. The baby continues to grow and develop every month. With that, comes rapid skin expansion. To make matters worse, pregnant women also tend to gain personal weight during pregnancy which in itself is a contributing factor to stretch marks.
Dermarollers are effective in the treatment of stretch marks. The needles on the dermaroller pierce the third layer of the skin to start the healing process. During this healing process, collagen is produced which makes the skin have a thicker texture. As your skin gets thicker, the stretch marks will disappear.
The dermarollers that are used to remove stretch marks can use 1.0mm or 1.5mm needles. The length of the needle will depend on the thickness of your flesh where the treatment will be applied. With your stomach being all flesh, you may feel the puncture of the needle. The better choice of needles between the two would be the 1.0mm length.
During each treatment, use a moisturiser that is vitamin based for effective results. It only takes five days a week to use the dermaroller. Within a month’s time, you should see the stretch marks disappear.
The skin treatments using the dermarollers are very effective in getting rid of stretch marks. It does not matter where they are or how much they’ve aged, this treatment will be successful for providing you with smooth and thicker skin.
