What should I mix with my Doornkaat German Schnapps?

I could only find one recipe, a Doornkaat-tini 1/2 oz (15 mL) Doornkaat, 1/4 oz (7.5 mL) dry Vermouth, twist of lemon and olive. Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Have any ideas what would be good?
Is it a particular flavor?
44.0% Alcohol/Vol. seems a bit high for a Schnapps. {40%ABV ?}
American Schnapps often contains higher alcohol content than traditional German Schnapps.
